American International Academy offers quality, Internet-delivered online high school courses for students throughout the United States and abroad. Since 2003 American Academy has served over 5000 students.

We are a leading online high school in the United States, offering a quality online learning program for high school students.  Examples of students participating in our programs are athletes, gifted, homeschoolers, actors, or those experiencing problems in the conventional classroom.

As in face-to-face classes, online classes include a teacher, lessons, homework, class discussions, and tests. The main difference is the activities occur over the Internet at a time that is convenient for students. Crescent Prep offers the hallmarks of truly effective traditional education programs – quality teachers, quality curriculum, and frequent student-teacher interaction. All courses are taught by certified teachers and meet national and state curriculum standards.

Through American International Academy, students have access to a wide range of coursework, flexibility in scheduling, developing capacities as independent learners, and more time to complete their coursework.

Honors

We offer Honors and AP courses for all students.  We encourage students to strive for greatness and to excel.

    Students interested in enrolling in our Honors and AP courses should expect the following:

    • Higher expectations in terms of quality of work, project or report content and organization
    • Greater intensity and depth
    • Intense online class participation
    • Emphasis on analysis rather than memorization
    • Completion of an assignment does not guarantee a good grade
    • Student-centered responsibility for learning
    • Reasonable expectations for all homework
    • Outside readings mandatory
    • Extensive mastery of course-specific terms and the ability to apply those terms
    • Command of logic and recognition of fallacies
    • Willingness to tackle extensive, close readings of complex texts
    • Willingness to explore the world of discourse outside of the textbook
    • Willingness to work on critical evaluation of one’s work
    • Advanced Placement Course(s) or an Advanced College poject course has the same expectations with the added intensity of its being a college level course.

Home Schoolers

We offer an exceptional Online Home School program for your children.  We understand the decision to homeschool as a parent and want to provide curriculum that will exceed your expectations.  Our curriculum offers a homeschool program that is designed to assist you with the everyday task of giving your child new and creative assignments. All of our online courses are instructed by certified teachers within their disciplines.  Many of them have their Master's Degree.
